Any tips for a beginner wanting to play blackjack professionally?

I’ve never played blackjack in “real life” only online. Could I learn on my own? Do I need chips when I practice it by myself? I wanna gamble professionally any tips?

    I have played blackjack for a long time and I am very good at it. I tend to win more than I loose but it is a fickle game. Even the best players can have a string of bad luck and loose big. You have to know the basic strategy and you have to be very disiplined with your betting. You have to be able to get up and walk away when you are wining or losing.

    Practice on your computer. There are several computer games that simulate blackjack play. But stay away from online casinos.

    I would never do it professionally, Do it for fun, Do it as a hobby. Understand that you might lose.

    I also have played BJ many years with great success. I limit my sessions to no more than 2 hours, and limit my chip loss to $15 on any table. If I lose more than that I switch tables or casinos. My win rate is around 70%, you must keep a record of all your sessions. I’ve have been barred in 3 casinos. You must learn basic strategy and card counting. The key to winning, is how you accept losing sessions, like the hotshots on the movie 21 that thought they could not lose.

    Yeah, don’t bother. I mean, it’s ok as a side income, but don’t expect to be making any decent kind of a living.

    The only way to become a professional blackjack player is by counting cards. It’s really not as difficult as some people would have you believe, but it does take some practice. And once you get good enough to make a decent living, there’s a chance you’ll get spotted and banned every time you sit at a table.

    I don’t want to give you the impression that you can’t make some money at blackjack, or that learning to count cards is a waste of time. In fact, I think EVERYONE who plays any amount of blackjack should put in the time and effort to learn to count cards. Just don’t expect to be making a lot of money doing it.

    You can only win at blackjack if you count cards. If you don’t count cards even with perfect strategy you will lose in the long run. Since you can only win by counting cards it is impossible to win at blackjack in the long run online, this is because they shuffle the deck after each hand which they don’t do in real life. However as all online casinos offer a sign up bonus you can make money through this as the bonus will cover your expected losses through play and just continually move from online casino to online casino to exploit the sign up bonuses.
