Cardcounting blackjack. once you have the count, how do you use the count while you play blackjack at a casino?

i am able to get the count when i play blackjack, but how do i use the actual count to my advantage?

    ok, so the idea here is that when you count cards at blackjack, you ad 1 point at your counting each time cards ranging 2-7 come up, and you take out 1 of your sum for each 10-A card.

    no imagine that if you reach a level of 15 in counting, that means much more small cards came than higher cards – result: you should expect more high cards to come. In you play you would use this as an advantage based on the cards you have and card the dealer shows. In this particular situation, if you have a hand totaling 15-16, hitting another card might result in a bust for you (you should expect high cards), and for the dealer works the same (if he shows a 10 value card, plus the other card he is either close to his limit to stay, either is just beyond that limit, and hitting another card will probablty bust him).

    The same works for the other way around – if you reach you counting at around -15, that means more high cards came out, while lower cards are to show up (so it would be easier to hit and get closer to the value of 21).

    The count is a rough estimation of the change in house edge as a result of the removal of cards, to utalise the count you must take into consideration the exhisting house edge, the effect on the house edge as shown by simulation of your system.

    There will come a certain count (varriing by the rules and game you are playing) where the edge lies with the player rather than the hosue as usual, when this happens you shoudl begin to play the game, or raise your bet dramatically over what you were playing prior.

    Many playing decisions can and should be affected by the count and you should learn how to do this as well, it cant be summed up here go buy a book from the “cards and games ” section of a bookstore.

    First, you must always play Basic Blackjack Strategy, except when the count indicates that there is a significant disproportionate distribution of high or low cards. For example, you may decide to play against basic strategy in these situations:

    Standing: The player can stand on 12 to 16, totals the dealer must hit. In a ten rich deck, this may be the best play. In a deck full of small cards, the hit is safer.

    Insurance: It’s a ten rich deck and the dealer shows an ace and offers insurance. Most likely he may have it, so take the insurance bet.

    Doubling Down: A ten-rich deck is a signal to double down when the opportunity arises.

    Splits: A ten rich deck is a signal to split when appropriate.

    Dealer Bust: A ten rich deck will make a dealer bust more likely with a 2-6 upcard.

    Of course the opposite is true in each of the above cases. In decks rich in small cards, you may decide to take other actions contrary to basic strategy. For example, you may decide to hit a 12 or 13.
